Hello everyone, thanks for your answers!
Does the light have to be on or can he clean at night (in the dark)?
Hard floor:
How much (well tidied) area is cleaned per hour or per battery charge?
Water connection yes or no: How much water is used per e.g. 100m2?
The robot has its own light which it activates as required. The obstacle detection by AI may be somewhat less accurate as the images are not as good. In practice, however, it usually works. On an area of 100m², it mainly depends on how you set it! With maximum water output and frequency of the mop self-cleaning, the tank in the base station will probably be empty at the end of cleaning. But it also depends on the simplicity of the area. In my case, everything is quite labyrinthine, so there's a lot of navigating and turning. So I can't tell you how long it will run in a "tidy" flat with lots of open spaces. But that also ultimately depends on which settings you specify, because there are countless, somewhat confusing settings. After all, now with "Genius Mode", it manages quite well in automatic mode with just a few settings
Here are answers to your questions about the Dreame X40 robot hoover:
Can the Dreame X40 clean in the dark?
Yes, the Dreame X40 Ultra can clean effectively in the dark. It uses LiDAR sensors and forward-facing cameras for navigation, so it does not need light to operate. It can map obstacles and clean autonomously, even in low light conditions or without light.
How much area does it clean per hour or per battery charge on hard floors? The Dreame X40 is quite efficient in terms of cleaning speed. In one test, it cleaned approximately 1,000 square feet (~93 m²) in just 34 minutes, suggesting that it could clean between 150 and 170 m² per hour depending on the floor plan and cleanliness of the room. The battery should last long enough to cover a large area before returning to its docking station to recharge, but the actual range may vary depending on the mode and power settings.
Does it have a water connection and how much water is used for mopping? The Dreame X40 does not require a direct water connection, but has an in-built water tank for mopping. The amount of water per 100 m² can be controlled via the app, depending on how wet you want the mop to be. Although the specific water consumption per 100 m² is not normally specified, it is adjustable and the device is ideal for mopping wooden and tiled floors with a balanced moisture level
