Question about Velop Tri Band - Set of 4 - 192078
Hello everyone, I currently have Swisscom routers powered in the power box in the basement, WIFI switched off. From there, Ethernet cables run to all three floors above, up to the attic. I have an Apple Airport Express as access point on each floor, so I have LAN and power connections everywhere. I can't get a nice round router into the power box in the basement, the wifi signal from the basement is unusable. Now I would like to upgrade and possibly go for mesh wifi. Here's what I'm wondering: what should I buy? Can I use existing sockets and good cabling more advantageously? Can/should I connect all Linksys Velops to LAN? What are alternatives?
Don't you have an access point on every floor? Mesh wifi does not improve the wifi. If you have a LAN, I wouldn't go for mesh. I had the Velop Mesh and sent it back to Digitec. At the time the LAN connection didn't work. I bought the Ubiquiti Starter Set and it works perfectly.
