Hello everyone, I bought this remote control for my Samsung, which is now about 7 years old, and it basically works, but there are 2 things that bother me and I don't know what it is: 1. the Netflix button doesn't work -> nothing happens when I press it 2. what is much more annoying is that the buttons, especially the volume toggle, only give the command once when pressed and held and not as long/often as you press the lever/button as usual. Is this also known and is it due to a setting or the remote control itself? Thank you and best regards
Hello,
With my UE50RU7170U television, the Netflix button works, as do the 2 others (Rakuten and Prime). Can you select the Netflix application via the menu? Perhaps updating the TV firmware would help. It is possible to install additional applications, such as Plex.
Hello
The only way I can explain the Netflix button at the moment is that 7 years ago it was not common to have such pre-programmed software on a Samsung TV. Maybe that's why the button doesn't work.
The other button because of the volume may have interfered with the signal. For example, have you checked that there is no packaging film on the front of the remote control? Is there anything between the remote control and the transmitter? Maybe you just have to hold the button down for longer?
Otherwise, if it also affects other buttons, I would say that this is a small defect in the remote control that may have happened during production.
Hello Amonymous
I bought the FB for a newer model (2023) and it works perfectly with all functions.
The large selection of FBs for Samsung televisions does not make it any easier. Perhaps one of the other FBs available would work.
I bought one around 2 years ago for my 10+ ye Samsung.
It’s not perfect but it works, for example to turn my TV off takes around 20 seconds of holding the button and the channel switching is slow!
For 20chf thou I can’t complain
