I bought the Magic 2 Wifi and thought the "extension" in terms of Wifi extension, but this supposedly cannot be used as it is an extension for a first device, it definitely says so on the packaging.

What are my options now? Send it back and order something else or buy the first device with it, but that costs too much for me.

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do, as I'm sure you've already opened the packaging. I have now bought the starter unit, then it works, but you can't do anything with the other one except try to sell it on, as I did, which unfortunately has not been possible until now.
