QNAP Ts-453a
QNAP Ts-453a
Have owned the Qnap TS-453a for a few years! Unfortunately, it no longer starts since yesterday and I don't know what's wrong. When I want to start it by pressing the button, it doesn't start anymore. It makes no sound nothing ! When I plug in the LAN cable, it flashes orange. Is the circuit board defective or is the power supply damaged? Maybe just replace the power supply?
I have been using various QNAP NAS for over 10 years. I have never had a defective board. Power supplies, on the other hand, I have replaced a few in that time. Especially with 24/7/365 operation.
Unfortunately, I can't say for sure from a distance. You need a different power supply for your NAS or another NAS to test the power supply. If you know someone with a QNAP NAS, please ask if you can test it there.
QNAP uses the same power supply for many 4Bay NAS types. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, please compare the performance data on the power supply label.
I keep my fingers crossed and wish you good health.
My guess is the power supply unit. For test purposes, pull out all the hard disks. In most cases, the NAS will then start again without hard disks, as the power of the defective power supply unit is often still sufficient for this. If the NAS starts like this, a new power supply unit is most likely the solution.
