Have a DS415+ and need a larger capacity. - can I put my 4HDs in here plus 4 more without losing data? - does it also have all the functions that DS415+ also has? (especially DS video
-Yes, this is possible. The prerequisite is that 1) the current volume runs with Hybrid Raid (SHR) and 2) you first migrate the existing 4 hd's (in bays 1-4), and then successively add the other disks and thus expand the volume.
-The software is the same and the same apps are also available on the 1815+.
