Has anyone successfully put the FritzBox 7590 into operation on a VDSL connection? I am a customer of green.ch and the DSL connection is interrupted after approx. 3min and then cannot be re-established for ages. After re-establishing it, it breaks off again after 3min.... There doesn't seem to be any new firmware for the CH version yet.

Helpful answer

Hello all. A small addendum regarding the DSL problem that might affect some CH customers. I recommend the following procedure to all those with the same problem: 1. contact AVM support (044 242 86 04) and describe the problem. 2. you will be asked to do some tests and especially to create DSL and support logs. AVM will insist on this step as they do not release the beta firmware immediately. 3. These log files will be evaluated by AVM. 4. 4. you may receive a beta firmware. 5. problem solved... :-)

Hello,

If you are having problems connecting to a provider, please contact AVM Support. (Switzerland: 044-242 86 04 )
AVM Support can provide firmware that may solve the problem.
This firmware will of course also be included in one of the coming updates.

Hello everyone and many thanks for your answers. @Kojzyolo: with the FritzBox 7390 that I have had until now and have now reconnected, everything works without any problems. That's why I'm ruling out the line, especially as green.ch has already checked the connection. @Alexhaeberli: I have a 30/10 VDSL line with green. You can read about my problem in various forums. However, (funnily enough) not everyone has this problem. I also opened a ticket at AVM this afternoon and have already sent the DSL logs and support logs for both boxes. I'm curious to see if they can offer a quick solution. @Ferni: My DSL connection says the same thing (VDSL2 17a G.Vector (ITU G.993.5). However, this connection "craps out" after about 3 minutes and can no longer be restored. As a result, it is no longer possible to connect to the Internet. I haven't heard anything about WLAN problems yet - I may be able to provide information later when the Internet is up and running... :-)

Hoi Devanager, I have connected the 7590 to an all-IP connection from Swisscom, at first I did not get an internet connection although the router had connected to the DSL exchange without any problems.
The connection information says:
When I look under Internet /DSL Connection it shows me : VDSL2 17a G.Vector (ITU G.993.5)

The only page I could reach was the Swisscom page, which asked me to register my Internet connection. I could complete the registration successfully, but I could not get an Internet connection. I then called the SwissCom hotline and described the problem, they reseted my connection and after the router reboot everything worked.

I currently have another problem with the 7590, the WLAN connection is completely unstable (!). Previously I had a 7490 on the same connection and never had any problems, now I lose the connection every 30-60 seconds. I have no idea why, but when I reconnect the 7490, everything is OK again. I've only had the box for 2 days Tran, must want to know what's going on here.
Greetings

Hello Devanager

This does not sound like a firmware error to me, but rather like a connection that is overloaded.
The people at green.ch should check your connection - you probably have a BRIDGE-TAP on it.

Best regards
Izzy

I've had the 7590 in operation for a short time, so far everything is fine, but there are other customers who have problems, especially with vectored connections.
I also have a 100/25 Vecoring connection and it works.
However, I am still talking to AVM support about these problems.
