Has anyone had any experience of whether the Orbi RBK23 can also be operated "well" behind a UPC Connect Box?

Works fine for me, WiFi switched off on the UPC box.

This works without any problems. If you want to use VPN from the Orbi, set the UPC router to bridge mode (if you don't see the option, call UPC and have your router switched to IPv4).
