Good morning, Can you kindly tell me at what height it is advisable to install the antenna? Is it better on the roof of the house at a height of about 8 metres or lower? Thank you!

Helpful answer

It is advantageous if the transmitting antenna is mounted at a height of 8 metres, for example, so that the receiving antenna, in this case the TP-Link EAP610-Outdoor, is also at the same height and, if possible, has a line of sight to the transmitting antenna.
It is also important to ensure that there are no large trees or buildings in the direct line of sight to the transmitting antenna that could attenuate the transmission power too much.
Reception is therefore very good.

It hangs at a height of 3 metres under my patio roof and works perfectly.
However, it is connected directly to the LAN, as I have supplied my terrace with RJ 45 IT sockets directly from the router.

Hello Christian, I personally mounted it by attaching it to the water gutter at a height of about 6 m, but under the roof so as to keep it sheltered ... it works perfectly with an excellent signal ...
Good day

Unfortunately, I can't answer that.

Hello
I use this antenna for a stable connection between a digital mixing console and an iPad. Accordingly, I have no experience with outdoor use. Sorry about that.
Best regards

Hello
I have it mounted on the roof, the reception is great.

It even reaches far into the countryside.
