I have a TV receiver that I want to connect to the Onkyo TX-NR686 (CBL/SAT) via the HDMI connection. My TV is connected to the Onkyo TX-NR686 via HDMI (MAIN ARC).
Is it possible to switch on the TV receiver to get a picture on the TV without switching on the Onkyo TX-NR686?

Answer

The devices on the Onkyo only go through when the Onkyo is running. Otherwise I have no picture on the TV with the TX-NR686.
