I have just installed the system in my flat at the weekend. More than 10 devices can certainly be connected, as this is already the case in my home.

According to the manufacturer's website, there are up to 254 devices:

The Xiaomi Mesh System AX3000 supports mesh networks with the same model and/or Mi Router AX9000 for up to a total of 10 devices. The signal between different routers is automatically and seamlessly combined.
