As I didn't adjust the code, it can't be the wrong code. For the first few days, the case could always be opened with 0-0-0, but then it suddenly stopped working. Before that, I only noticed that the lock was quite difficult to open and could only be operated with some force.

Did I just get the wrong model? Or have any of you had similar experiences?

Certainly the locking system is not of very high quality... the release system when opening is very hard, and you have to use more force to open it....

Thank you for this experience report. I was just about to buy one of these cases. But problems with the combination lock are the last thing you need if you want to open the case. And after breaking it open, it becomes unusable. I would expect more from Samsonite.
