Does this make sense in combination with the Onkyo LS7200 soundbar? It can do Dolby Atmos but has no physical rear speakers, which is always the biggest weakness of soundbars.
I don't want a 5.1 setup - I already have that. I want to get rid of the f...ing cables. And not to screw with the Atmos setup even more. My quality requirements are limited; I've already heard the Yamaha soundbar and it's absolutely more than good enough for me - except when it comes to rear sound. So thanks for the well-intentioned advice, but I know exactly what I want, and that is an Atmos soundbar with real rear speakers.
Various test reports always confirm the following: Soundbars are in no way comparable to a real 5.1 or 7.1 system, despite extensive features like the LS7200. My Dolby Atmos speakers are only noticeable with my TXNR636 thanks to extensive setting options. Combined with a sound bar, I wouldn't add Dolby Atmos speakers because there is no spatial perception of the channels. For this price I would prefer a bundle offer from Digitec with which I have already had unforgettable sound experiences. (OnkyoTXN636 and Jamo 5.1 speakers).
