Question about FRITZ! Box 7490
Does this Fritzbox also work under Sunrise? (I have the Sunrise One package with the Internet Box and am not happy with it). Is there anything against it? Do Internet and TV and Voip telephony run through it ? Does anything have to be configured manually? E.g. Voip? Sunrise Hotline doesn't really give any information...just plug it in and see if it works is the answer. has anyone had any experience with this and can report back?
I clarified this 1-2 years ago, so this information could be out of date. At that time, the main problem was that Sunrise did not want to give out the VoIP access data. This means that internet and TV would probably have worked, but VoIP would not. For VoIP, access data is required, which is permanently integrated in the router supplied by Sunrise.
If you buy such a router, you also have to configure everything manually. With the Internet, however, this usually just means choosing the right access protocol and annex. TV simply goes over the Internet and usually does not require any special configuration on the router. If you are not familiar with the technology, I would not recommend it.
