Does the soundbar need permanent wifi or could I also use it "wifi-free" as a stereo system (music via Bluetooth from my mobile)?

As the others have said, the bar can be used via Bluetooth, WiFi and HDMI.
It's perfectly possible to play music from a mobile phone via Bluetooth.
With Wi-Fi, the advantage is that you can use the speaker in Spotify without a permanent connection between the mobile phone and the speaker (remote play).
On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend a Wi-Fi connection between the television and the speaker, as I often get a discrepancy between the picture and the sound.
