does the range increase with the Netgear device also work with the Apple AirPort Extreme, ac1300/n450?

Hi. Yes. You can expand the network. You lose bandwidth, but thanks to the modern protocols this is not a problem. Configuration directly on the Netgear user interface is very easy. Just configure it as a repeater, select the network, enter the password and the thing is up and running.
