Does the device work on a hub on a MacBookPro 2018 (which only has USB-C) with macOS 12.5? How long is the USB cable? Is it possible to extend it? (I have to try to pick up a WLAN signal in a basement room...).

I don't know anything about apple (I don't want to either... ;-)) The Asus with USB-C works perfectly on my installation, but I have set up a WLAN amplifier about half the distance away. The USB cable is 1m long and can be extended... but the longer the signal, the weaker it is.
