Does the appliance dehumidify continuously in continuous operation, or does it sometimes simply blow cold air?

It ventilates continuously and only switches on the compressor when it reaches the set point. The only way to turn it off completely is to connect it to a home automation socket and a humidity sensor, and programme exactly what you want!
