Does it have an integrated amplifier so that a receiver is superfluous? Does it work with the Sony KD-85XG8596?

Yes, an amplifier is integrated to drive the active speakers. I assume that the system is compatible with all modern Sony televisions.

Yes, it can stream music from the Internet without a TV. So with integ. Amplifier and completely without receiver possible. If the TV (Sony) has an HDMI link connection, this is possible without any problems.
