Question about Samsung HW-Q90R
Does anyone know if this soundbar supports EARC? I read somewhere that there should be an update that enables this.
Yes, since May 2020 with the update 1010.5.
Hmm... where did you get the info @Holland14? The Samsung US Forum clearly states NO EARC. Does not work with the latest FW. Atmos is possible, but it only needs ARC and only works with EAC-3 sound with Atmos, not with TrueHD + Atmos (you would need EARC for that).
Yes, the new soundbar supports eArc as well as Dolby Vision.
The subwoofer has a new design and a slightly improved sound.
The Game Pro Sound Mode and the Adaptive Sound Mode are also new.
Otherwise, everything is the same as with the predecessor Samsung hw n950.
