Question about WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra
Does anyone have the NAS with macOS Catalina in operation, does the NAS work together with this operating system and Time Machine? Can an additional external HDD be connected and accessed via the cloud?

Have had the WD My Cloud connected to the Mac for about 5 years. Even with the current operating system. IPhones sync automatically via the WD app. Everything works fine.
I haven't connected an external, additional hard drive as the current capacity is more than sufficient.
