So we've had the Electrolux for a good 15 months. The filter lasts 12 months. However, the filter only removes odours for 2-3 months in continuous operation, after which no more odours are filtered because the activated carbon is saturated (completely normal).
So if you want to filter the odours you have to replace the filter every 2-3 months.
