Does anybody know if the Sony HT-A5000 (121mm wide spec) fits between the standard feet of a Sony XR-55A95L (120mm visually)? Is it worth adding such a soundbar for casual listening (I also have a full size Home Cinema)? Any lips-sync issue to be expected with an optical connection? When using the home cinema I would switch off entirely the « TV speakers » setting and expect the HT-A5000 not to come into (sound-) play (hopefully..) if correct?
Hi, I had to put the soundbar in front of the TV but looks fine .. there are no issues regarding sync. I suggest to add the wire-less back speakers to complete the real sound experience.
Hi HT-A5000 I don't have them in the front, I have them in the back at the top of the ceiling by the projector and I'm very satisfied with the sound.
So it fits my Sony XR-75X95L (Mini-LED) perfectly, even though I have mounted the TV stands in the lower position. So for just occasional listening to TV programmes, this part is too good and too expensive in my opinion. The HT-A3000 would suffice for me. As far as lip sync is concerned, I haven't noticed any problems for months. Together with my TV, the HT-A5000 also uses its speakers and the sound is very good, especially in combination with my two rear speakers. Sure, it can't quite keep up with a full-blown home cinema system, but it's good enough for me and my neighbour:-). That's all I can say about it.
I agree with Horde's opinion. I use the soundbar with a 55A90J. Fits perfectly in terms of dimensions and significantly improves the sound compared to the TV speakers. As we have long known, no soundbar really replaces a complete home cinema system. But for your needs (occasional listening) it should be enough. I bought it 1.5 years ago for a much higher price and am still very satisfied.
It fits perfectly under the feet of my 77A95L. Looks ok. It's worth it compared to the onboard sound. There are no lip sync problems. The soundbar requires the earc HDMI 2.1 slot. One of both.
