Do you think it's good that you pretend in the description that this device filters viruses out of the air and thus make the customers believe that it protects against viruses? The official Blueair website does not mention any effectiveness against viruses. Moreover, a pre-filter and a carbon filter cannot, by their very nature, inactivate a single virus. At best, they will remain there and, at worst, they will spread from there back into the room air. In the case of coronaviruses, it can be assumed that a considerable part of the viruses is even smaller than PM1 and thus cannot be filtered by household appliances like this one. Only air filters with effective ionisers are capable of permanently inactivating viruses from the air. HEPA is unsuitable against SARS-CoV-2, because in these filters the viruses simply remain active and everything smaller than PM2.5 is whirled directly back into the room air.
