Question about iRobot Roomba Combo r1
Do these robots now have a better grip on the corners than the earlier models? Or do you still have to vacuum by hand? Years ago I was allowed to test a robot, but I was not satisfied with the result.

Thank you for your question. The iRobot Roomba Combo has two side brushes that reach into the corners to get the dirt out. Since this is a 2 in 1 device that simultaneously picks up the floor damp, it navigates differently than our Roomba vacuum robots, which have a side brush. I have a 980 and no, no robot vacuum cleaner can really do the corners. But for me, a robot hoover is not a substitute for a hoover either. It cleans the flat 3 times a week but once a week we still vacuum the corners/edges by hand. As good as these things are now, they are not a 100% replacement for vacuuming "yet".
