Zeller Present Stove cover/cutting plates
Do the plates also withstand heat? I would always prefer glass to wood, as it is more fragile but more hygienic.
I bought this product mainly because of the cats. They sometimes jumped up and turned on the hot plates with their paws. The plates were very nice and I would buy them again!
But beware of heat, my sister stupidly didn't turn off the cooker top, put the plate on it and you can guess the rest of the story.... I think that wooden plates would also have been damaged by this heat.
What do you mean by heat ? In relation to what an equally thin wooden board can withstand compared to this product without warping and making waves ? That's where this cutting board wins.
