Do the Devolo adapters always get so hot that you get the feeling that the things will start to burn next! ^^ Or is that normal? Thank you! Greetings to all:)

Yes, my Magic 2 gets extremely hot after a short time, especially on the wall side. But it's also 27 degrees in the room, so that certainly doesn't help.

My Magic 2 LAN 1-1 adapters got 94 - 100 degrees hot from the start (readable in the Cockpit). And they didn't cool down even when no data was flowing. I tried it on all wall plugs! Incidentally, this is a new-build flat, so everything is in tip-top condition electrically! Most recently, the receiver adapter started to smoulder on the back of the housing until it burned with a jet of flame (fire)! The whole room had to be repainted, and you can never get the smell of burning out again! Luckily I was at home and had the fire extinguisher to hand! My lawyer advises me to sue Devolo, because apparently I'm not the only one with the heat problem of this shitty product!

During a problem-free installation today, I noticed that the plugs get very very hot. Even if no data is flowing? That worries me a lot.

ok in that case I'm not the only one, the things get so hot that I can't touch the bottom side, I have the feeling that when they "overheat" the devices start to throttle, video streaming is then no longer possible, lots of packet loss, then let one of the two cool down for 5 minutes without power then it's okay again

I thank you very much for your answers :D let's see if the things can withstand this and don't break right away! wish you all a happy new year.... Greetings

It depends on how much data has to be transferred. I've had Powerline for years and they've always gotten pretty hot, because I'm also constantly transferring data. That's probably the reason why the adapters die after about two years.

Mine don't even get warm to the touch. Something seems to be wrong. I would plead for a replacement. Then they should also switch to standby when not in use (white flashing LED). Although they are praised as the "best and fastest technology", they do not work properly: sometimes they light up red, sometimes white again.... Greetings

Well, mine also get quite warm... I think that's normal. I was wondering too:-)
