Question about Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021
Do I need a Microsoft account to activate the licence? Or is it a product key?
This is a product key. By default, you are asked to open the MS account before activating the product key. I can't say whether it would work without it.
I have always set it up with microsoft account to pick it up again if you have to set it up again.
