No, because it has no connection, only via WLAN. I don't know whether the thing can be connected via a USB port. I haven't used it since eSIM was introduced in the iPhone.

Unfortunately I can't answer this as I don't have a router. I plugged it into the socket normally and inserted an extra SIM card
