Question about FRITZ! FRITZ!Repeater 3000

Can this device also be used as an access point, i.e. connected via LAN cable to the UPC Internet modem, and then set up a WLAN itself? If this works, can an identical second device be linked as a mesh repeater with the first WLAN-forming device? Thank you!
