Can this cable modem replace the cable modem from UPC (ConnectBox)?

No. upc does not allow anything other than their own Connect and Giga boxes.
The only alternative if you want a Fritzbox is to set the upc box in modem/bridge mode and operate a Fritzbox behind it that is connected via a WAN connection.
