Calibrate anyway but you can load an alternative firmware (search for atc mi temp2). This allows you to set various things, including a temp offset.
However, I am very surprised by the comments that these things are inaccurate. I have 9 of them distributed in fixed places in the flat. All are within the expected range and are comparably good to the first 2 I checked in my shop. In addition, they agree quite well with the measurements of my 2 dyson fans (not identical due to location, of course).
I can't confirm or reproduce the 2 -4°C readings at the moment. What do you compare them with?
