Can these sensors be integrated into HomeKit as "stand alone" or do they necessarily require a camera?

What I would like to do: e.g. set up an automation in Homekit as follows: "when a window is open, for example, the light should come on". I wouldn't need a camera or siren for that.

Nothing works without a camera. The sensors are connected to the camera and the camera is connected to the Home App.
