Can the two rear speakers be mounted on the wall or do they need an extra wall bracket or even a stand?
The two rear speakers of the soundbar system can generally be mounted on the wall. However, no original Samsung wall brackets are supplied and no special bracket is included in the scope of delivery. To mount the rear speakers on the wall, you therefore either need a separate wall bracket or you can use universal speaker wall brackets that are compatible with the 1/4"-20 UNC threaded hole on the back of the speakers.
There are also reports of users using third-party wall mounts that are sturdy enough to support the rear speakers securely. These brackets are usually made of metal, are adjustable and allow secure mounting including cable management. The speakers have a threaded hole that allows them to be screwed onto appropriate screws or rods on the wall.
Alternatively, speaker stands are often recommended as they are more flexible in terms of positioning and make pairing and the visibility of the status LEDs easier. The stands are usually not very high, so the speakers should ideally be positioned slightly above ear height to achieve an optimal sound experience.
To summarise: A separate wall bracket or stand is required for wall mounting the rear speakers, as no original wall bracket is included in the scope of delivery. The speakers are equipped with a standardised threaded hole that allows them to be mounted on suitable brackets.
