I have been using this device for my mother's fixed IP telephone in a nursing home for several years without interruption to avoid hotel telephone tariffs.
When setting it up, I unfortunately found that the reception via SIM card is extremely weak. Depending on the weather, between 2-5 Mbit/s. That is barely enough for telephony.
So far away from the described maximum possible 150 Mbit/s.
My mobile has much better reception at the same location. The reception unit for the signals coming in via the SIM card probably has too weak an antenna.
I would definitely test this on the sailing yacht. Be sure to use 12V 1A.

In my opinion, there are two possibilities: Either pull the router up the mast in a waterproof bag (I got this from a sailing forum) or buy a better antenna, which then does its job 12 metres above sea level.
