Question about Nokia Streaming box 8000

You cannot operate the TV directly with the remote control of the box. But when the connection is made via HDMI cable, the TV switches on and off automatically together with the box (HDMI-CEC).

I would not recommend this Nokia Streaming Box because it is not technically up to date. The only sound format it supports is Dolby Digital Plus, i.e. neither HD nor Dolby Atmos. The box also does not support Dolby Vision or HDR10+, but only the older static HDR format. The remote control does not seem to be able to control any TVs. I would recommend this as a better alternative with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, HDR10+ and a remote control that can also switch the TV on and off:

The Google TV solution is also controlled via USB-C, because if you want, you can even connect a USB-C dock to it and thus even get a LAN interface.
