Question about tesa tesamoll THERMO insulating film for thermal insulation on windows

Attaching it outside basically works. We used it to replace a broken window pane for a while. However, the film became a bit wavy over time. As far as I know, it does not keep out UV and infrared radiation. The insulation of the window is only improved by the additional layer of air.
