Can the eve be controlled as a stand-alone device via a mobile phone or an iPad, or does it have to be integrated into a system such as KNX?

Helpful answer

The device can be operated via the EVE app (with Bluetooth) or in Apple HomeKit (with Thread). Otherwise, there is currently no other option.
This will change in 2022, however, as EVE will provide a Matter firmware for all devices that support Thread. This will allow the device to be operated with Google Home, Samsung Smart Things and Amazon Alexa.

You can connect the EVE products directly to the iPhone or iPad via Bluetooth & Thread, but it must be an iOS device.
