Can the devolo magic 2 dinrail only be connected directly to the router after Sync & Connect or can it also be connected to the router via a magic 2 lan adapter?

In this context, can I also connect the router RJ45 input (on the first floor) to a devolo Magic 2 LAN adapter, which in turn is connected to a second devolo Magic 2 LAN adapter in the basement, which in turn is connected to the fibre optic access in the basement?
