Can the device be charged (on the PC/socket) and used as a WiFi modem at the same time? (~Mains instead of battery operation)

In my opinion, this is possible. My boys use the modem plugged into the additional battery when they are on the road, because the modem battery is relatively weak. And power is power, so it should also work when plugged into the PC/socket.
