Can I use this product for my home office? So far I just use my tablet with data SIM and mobile hotspot for office during the day and TV/music in the evening. But I can no longer take the tablet with me on the road, because otherwise all devices at home would be disconnected.

Of course you can, that's what the device is made for. But of course you need an additional data SIM if you want to use it in your tablet when you are on the move.
