Can I connect this soundbar to my Alienware AW3420DW monitor or do I have to pay attention to something there? I haven't found anything on the internet.

The connection is via USB and should therefore not be a problem with this monitor. If you want to attach the soundbar to the monitor stand (and not just place it under/ in front of the monitor), you will need some tinkering skills.
