Hello Flyfisherman. That is possible, Multy supports the bridge mode, so it can be used as an AP system. The only disadvantage is that you cannot repeat the existing WLAN of the router, so it is best to deactivate it. The repeaters, on the other hand, have the disadvantage that the performance of the WLAN decreases with each additional repeater.
This works very well for me. The first Multy is connected via LAN directly next to the Swisscom box, the second on the first floor. The whole house is served. I have switched off the WLAN in the Swisscom router. On the 5GHz network, I achieve the Swisscom subscription download speed practically everywhere in the house (also depends a lot on the WLAN device....).
No more annoying losses due to repeaters...
I also recommend the repeater or the WLAN Connection Kit from Swisscom. Just from the price point of view. With the latter, even Swisscom TV can be reached via WLAN. https://www.swisscom.ch/de...
