Question about Audioengine A5+
Can I connect a record player like the Pro-ject debut carbon evo, which does not have an amplifier, directly to the audioengine a5+ with a cinch cable or do I need an amplifier or something else in addition?
Hello, yes you can connect a turntable to the active speaker with an RCA cable. If you are looking for a pair of A5+ I sell my pair (satin black) for 250 euros or 350 with a DAC (24 bit / 96 kHz sound card) Audioengine D1.
You can connect it directly, I would also recommend a phono preamplifier, also available from Pro-Ject, Phono Box E , you have additional power and don't have to turn up the volume..doesn't cost much, also available here at Digitec
