Can a curious child hurt himself with the device? We are considering buying it for our 20-month-old baby.

I also have this Venti in the children's room (kids are 2 and 4 years old). Nothing bad can actually happen. You might not want to put the valve up high so that it doesn't fall down when the kids pull on the cable...
