no. there will be more power available with 2 power amplifiers, but the high and mid frequencies need less than the bass.
the hifi forums are full of philosophical pros and cons and technically/acoustically an answer is not so easy. i did horizontal bi-amping myself with my 2 front-ls because my 7-channel avr allowed it, i didn't hear any difference. a few informative links:
