As I understand it, the key remains inside and the Nuki is fitted over it. In an emergency, the door can still be opened from the outside with the normal key - provided that the key inserted inside is exactly in the centre position (emergency and danger function). However, if the key is in a rotated position, this does not work with my door. I have a Kaba Star system from 2018. Hence my question: Are you locked out if the Nuki has a defect in a turned key position (i.e. the key is turned but the lock has not yet been opened)? Has Nuki provided a solution for such a case?
