According to the listed specs it seems the Argo Ulisse 13 DCI Eco is quieter than the Remko RKL 495 DC: 42db(A) vs 62db(A). How much louder is this in reality, and does anyone have experience or comments on this? Thanks
I find that the RKL 495 DC runs very quietly. I used to have a split unit that was about 13 years older, but it was extremely loud. This one, on the other hand, cools wonderfully and I find it completely quiet, it doesn't even disturb when watching TV or talking to people. So thumbs up for the RKL 495 DC.
It's hard to compare without having experience of both sets.
For the Remko, all I can say is that I set the fan to low and then it's much quieter than a non-split unit, so I can watch the TV quite quietly. In high mode (or when it's set to high on auto) it must be 62db.
Personally, as well as the claimed performance, I also chose the Remko because it's lighter and mounted on wheels, so it's easier to move around.
