A RAM module from SK Hynix is installed in the PC. Since they are not represented in Switzerland, I would like to know whether a second 8gb DDR4 2400 SODIMM RAM module from e.g. Kingston can be used? The wifi receiver is also very poor. The connection is good, but the data transfer rate is very low (<200kb/s). My laptop has no problems with the wifi. What could be the reason for this?
So for the PC you need the normal DIMM 288 form factor. It doesn't matter if the RAM modules are from different manufacturers. If one module is slower, the stronger one will automatically clock down. The only important thing is that they are of the same type (i.e. DDR4 and DIMM288). Of course, the best thing is the same clock rate for both modules: 2400.
Onboard WLAN brings strong qualitative differences. If it is bad, there can be many reasons (weak module, shielding by housing, etc.).
Something like this could remedy the situation: Netgear A6210-100PES (USB 3.0, 866Mbit/s, 300Mbit/s)
