A Deco device must be connected to the modem. In our case, this is in a technical box. Does it make a difference for the "external" 2 decos if the first deco is placed in the technology box? It is almost impossible to get out of the box with cables... merci for inputs!

Well, the Deco can also connect to each other via the LAN cables, so if it is possible to connect the Deco with the technician box to another Deco outside via LAN, then the mesh network is saved. Theoretically, this could also be done via WLAN from the technician box, but it definitely works better with a LAN connection. The third Deco can then be connected again via wireless.

It depends on how "radiation-proof" the technical box is and how far away the second part is positioned. In our case, the router and the first deco (connected with LAN cable) are in the basement, two more decos are one floor up with a concrete ceiling and in an adjacent room or in an extension, and more decos are on the first and second floor. Works fine for us, I think because of the mesh technology (triband). Advantage at Digitec: you can return it if it doesn't work (keep all packaging etc.!).
